Is it illegal to go bird hunting with a bb gun?

Well, I am a kid, and I have a bb gun. I was looking on youtube and someone commented that bird hunting was illegal. Well, is it?Is it illegal to go bird hunting with a bb gun?
You are asking way to broad of a question here is a quote from your question guy said';bird hunting was illeagl. Well, is it?';. So in a nut shell no. Bird hunting in general is not illegal. There are laws in using airguns on small game just like there are laws on using .22's on small game. If you are talking about air soft or whatever that crap is called than that is probably illegal because it won't generate enough energy. Give us more details and we can tell you. For example pellet or airsoft type of bird. Hunting song birds is ilegal in many areas and can result in a fine. Although there are many poachers on youtube that have never held a small game license and post videos of them with a 4 foot line of squirrels they killed that afternoon. Is it illegal to go bird hunting with a bb gun?
Game bird season is closed this time of year. You wouldn't want to shoot a bird and have her babies starve, would you?

Non-game birds - tweety birds - are always illegal to shoot. Typically, when you read your state hunting regulations it will say that any species not listed in the regulations may not be taken. However, if you state has pests - starlings and rats are a good example - the state may have determined there is no limit and no closed season.

Bottom line. You need to surf to your official state web site and read the hunting regulations.
You would have to find out your local laws and what type of bird you are wanting to hunt to find the season if there is one fo this type of bird so to answer your question is very hard because it all depends on alot of other needed info.
I don't know all the laws for North America but generally anything but hunting legal game birds with shotguns of legal gauge and legal capacity with legal ammo in the legal season is illegal. Some places allow archery.
if it's a game bird it should be ok. In vermont people do it all the time.
yes, don't always trust the people on youtube.com some of them are stupid.
