How do I put a mirror finish on old hunting knives?

Age has made my once beautiful old hunting knives look terrible. How do I bring back the lustre??How do I put a mirror finish on old hunting knives?
Go to the web and search on ';Testors Sanding Films';.

They're plastic-backed sandpapers that come in diff grits. Buy yourself ONE of the five count assorted packs. They last practically forever. One pack is all you'll need.

Start off with as fine a grit as you can that will leave the blades shiny and work your way up to the red one. At that stage, it's more than most folks want or need....but if you really want mirror-bright, buff the steel with some red rouge and a Dremel felt wheel. How do I put a mirror finish on old hunting knives?
You can mirror polish any steel with those. I use them all the time on firearms here in the shop. A good wipe down with the red sheet every now and then will keep your knives polished.

flitz metal polish is what i use
With a buffer and increasingly fine buffing compounds.
BRASS-O OR ANY OTHER METAL POLISH
Of course, by sharpening and polishing them at regular intervals!
try some sandpaper if you use it wet it dosnt scratch. or try wirewool.
Work your way down the grits with wet and dry.
