What do you think that the best gamelands in NC are for deer hunting?

why do you think this, and have you hunted it? does it consist of mountians, swamps, woods, or fields? What do you think that the best gamelands in NC are for deer hunting?
I think the Pisgah game lands in the mountains are the best I have hunted there for over 20 years . It consists of steep mountains where I hunted . Its easier to find where the deer are for me because the love the acorn flat areas in the steep mountains and its easy to find funnel areas there . Deer take the easiest course around the mountains and I focus on flat areas ,bedding and funnel areas from one set of flats to the other. I hunted at around 4000 ft elevation not far from the blue ridge parkway

There are not large numbers of deer there but that is helpful when hunting big deer . I have found the biggest deer are in areas that arent over populated .

There are old age class deer there also and relatively low hunting pressure . I killed a 10 point that was aged at 8 1/2 yrs old and I am sure there are many more that die of old age in the mountains. My smallest deer from the mountains was and 8 point with a 16 inch spread . most bucks I see there are big.

here are some pictures of bucks from that area

Dismal swamp, it's a swamp. My cousins husband got a 12 point last year that set the county record.Plenty more big ones in there.
