here in Oregon you are looking at just around $25 bucks for tag and $25 for hunting license. This allows you to harvest one buck deer having not less than a visable fork. A visable fork is described as a fork large enough to support a wedding band. Our deer around here where I am at are columbian black tail. How much $ is a general deer tag and hunting license in your state? what does it allow you to harvest?
In Arkansas it is:
$10.50 for your resident wildlife conservation license. This allows one buck taken with modern gun and all other small game not requiring a special license.
$25.00 for your resident sportsmans license. This allows you to hunt archery, muzzle loader and modern gun. The 3 or 4 deer limit depends on the zones hunted. This also covers bear and turkey hunting as well as small game and furbearing animals.
All bucks taken in Arkansas must have 3 points on one side or more.
$7.00 for your Duck / Waterfowl stamp.

I live in N.D. License runs $14 I think. I always get a sportsmans that covers everything including fishing and furbearer for $30+. The tags are drawn by lottery. You pay $20/tag. You specify buck or doe, and whitetail or mule deer, when applying. Second, third, and sometimes fourth drawing are held if tags are still open in the unit so an individual could possibly obtain as many as four tags for the regular gun season. Bow hunting tags are available, one per person, over the counter for $20 and allow you to take either sex or either species. Blackpowder tags and gratis tags are also available.
In Alberta we need a wildlife cirtificate that costs $24.35 the a whitetail tag costs $33.25 that allows you to take a buck or a doe.
yeah, here in MN it is about $25 for both too. one tag gets u either a buck or a doe.
